Driving to New Braunfels for a haircut is one of those Canyon Lake inconveniences that new residents accept before they find out they don't have to. The salon scene here is small but real, built around owner-operated studios where stylists know their clients by name and books tend to fill up on reputation rather than advertising. These five have earned their followings the old-fashioned way.
